Patsy Keever of Asheville and our Tenth Congressional District was elected new chair of the North Carolina Democratic Party at a meeting of its State Executive Committee (SEC) in Pittsboro Feb. 7. Keever has been serving as the party's first vice chair. She succeeds Randy Voller of Pittsboro in the chair's post. Cleveland County members of the SEC were on hand to cast votes.
